Your breath will guide you through yoga
Your breath will guide you through life
My name is Ulrike Schmidt. I was born in Germany and moved to London in the 90’s. In 2000 I was involved in a serious car accident and yoga helped me recover from my injuries. After my first yoga class I knew I had found a new passion in my life and I have not looked back ever since. Yoga helps me to unwind, build strength and increase patience. I have graduated as a Yoga Teacher in 2017 at the age of 50. So you can see it is never too late in life to follow your passion.
Shorlty after my Yoga Teacher Training, I have discovered yoga nidra and found it to be one of the most effective and transformational practices that I have experienced. I see it as the perfect companion to living in a busy city and have become extremely passionate about sharing it, having experienced how good and deeply relaxed the practice makes me feel. In 2019 I have passed the Total Yoga Nidra Teacher and Facilitator training with the Yoga Nidra Network. I facilitate yoga nidra classes weekly at the Yoga Nest in Bethnal Green and I am available to facilitate privately on a 1:2:1 basis, or in workplaces, either as a standalone practice, or in combination with a hatha or mindful flow yoga class.
Whilst teaching yoga I also enjoy playing my music. I can spend hours searching for the next beautiful yoga mix that I can introduce to my students in the next class.
Find below a few music mixes you might hear during my classes.
