Welcome and thanks for visiting my website
My name is Ulrike and I have called my website ‘Namaha Yoga’ as it reminds me of the life changing experience I had in the Bahamas where I passed my Yoga Teacher Training in 2017.
In yoga, chanting a mantra is a practise used to focus on concentration on one thought and on a still mind in meditation. When namaha is part of a mantra, it reminds the yogi that he/she is part of the universe and gains peace by removing the focus from the ego.
- Om namaha Shivaya – focuses on the positive and the divine within
- Om namaha sri – represents letting go
- Om gum ganipati-ya namaha – removes obstacles and opens doors
Since my return to the UK, I have gone through many times of questioning and renewing who I am and what I really want out of life. We live in such a fast paced and stressful environment that we need to remind ourselves daily how important it is to slow down, take a breath and let go of the unimportant things we are so attached to. We should also remind ourselves daily to try and become the best version of ourselves; to try and be good and do good as often as we can.
Come to my class and start being good to yourself and improve your body and your mind. See you on the mat.
